Walk of Shame?

I recently saw a video online about the "Walk of Shame" and the inner dialogue that might go through your head.  I chuckled because A) my inner dialogue game is strong B) She was really doing well at empowering/convincing herself she was well within her rights; until she saw someone she knew and C) The author of this piece makes me smile every time I see her.

Check the video out on the SWC Facebook page, you won't be sorry.

Hair done, nails done, everything did!

Hair done, nails done, everything did!

I'll admit, I've raised an eyebrow when I see a girl in a "Saturday Night" outfit on Sunday morning; but I'm usually questioning the outfit itself (how is she not cold?! I'm freezing)  than what she did out of it.

I would give her a latte and a high five instead of an ice grill.  Girl, you got yours!  If you had fun, you won!

However, it got me thinking...why is this even a thing anymore?

Men can pretty much do whatever they want with no shade or better yet, accolades! Sometimes, I just don't get it: He makes advances on a lady.  He sees what he likes, he chats her up and things go well.  She sleeps with him.  Now you turn around and call her a hoe, thot, slut, a whore because she didn't make him "work for it?"

Get all the way out of my face with that!

Let me let you in on a little secret.  We woman can be just as savage as some dudes out here.  Have you ever thought that perhaps the male was the easy mark in all of this?  Imagine:  A guy chats me up, I like what I see and all I want is a good time.  I already know you are not the one I'm going to marry.  You gave it up to easily.  He's a man-whore, a f**kboy.  Believe me, you are being discussed over Sunday brunch.

But, on the most important note, we can do whatever and whoever we want.  We don't have to call you back, we don't have to fake a connection, we don't have to be "NICE" about it.  He didn't rock your boat?  Abandon ship. No shame in that game.

This was too easy!

This was too easy!

I don't believe I've walked with shame the next morning.  Maybe a slight headache and a "hmm, let's not entertain that again" but never shame.  That's a big word for something that bears none.  However, I bet someone has seen me in a "Saturday Night" outfit and has questioned the  "thotivities" I've gotten into, but honestly, I don't notice because I'm probably clutching a latte and a croissant like they are life buoys.

Summer's coming and I can't wait to see glitter rompers and bodycon dresses on Sunday mornings!  Stay safe Squares but have all the fun you want, hope you had a fantastic time :)
