I'm still on my "Try All The Things" kick and I'm steadily continuing into my next solar revolution. This year, one of my Day One's came through with highly coveted tickets to Refinery 29's 29 Rooms exhibition. I've always wanted to go but I've never been able to get tickets as they sell out in 43 seconds every year but this year we were in there! We were gonna get art and culture and all the other classy things that come with doing Artistical thangs!
We wanted no spoilers so we didn't look anything up. We even refused to go on Instagram on that day (it happened to be the first day of the exhibit. We went in and for the first 10 minutes we wandered around trying to take it all in but quickly realized that we needed to move with intention if we only had 3 hours to get through all 29 rooms: Spoiler Alert: we didn't. I think they need to take into account that you have to wait on these lines and people who don't think about their poses before it's their turn, so now their up there taking forever for a pic that you know they are going to hate.
L and I spent our time on the lines brainstorming and game-planning our photos. So when it was our turn, we were in and out and could enjoy the exhibits for what they were; immersive artistic moments in our selfie culture. <--sounds classy af right?
